Started training at the age of 4 and became a Black Belt Shodan in 2008 under Kyokushin Kan, Sensei Gonzalo was one of the youngest black belts known in our Karate Organization who does not recognize black belts younger than 10 years old, but Sensei Gonzalo was a special exception due to his dedication and competitiveness. In 2015 he was awarded second-degree Black Belt under the direction of Sensei Dan Webster. He is a certified Central Referee and Corner Judge in our Tournaments and student’s coach.
In 2019 and under the direct supervision of Kancho Hatsuo Royama and Shihan Ishijima Masahide, he was awarded his third-degree black belt.
Gonzalo also holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jistu.
